The department of History is established in the June 1994 right from beginning of the college. The department is actively imparting the knowledge of subject and creates historical conciseness among the student. The department is running BA (I, II, III) course and one short-term course entitled 'Introduction to Archeology. The Department has One full-time sanctioned post.

At present, the department of History has 10 students for TY BA. The average percentage of departmental result is always more than university result. The department has sufficient infrastructure and well equipped facilities for teaching and learning process. The department has a good collection of books in the central library. It also has e- resources such as historical documentaries, films, short films, interviews. The department always encourage the students to participate in various competitions, such as model and poster presentation, research avishkar, Cultural programs and engage in research projects.
